Artist Statement

For me, the act of painting is a conduit to an inner and outer realm in which line, color and form are basic expressions.  One of the most appealing aspects of art to me is the link to the unconscious, especially those instances when a painting takes on a life of its own and becomes an unfolding adventure.   I like my paintings to speak for themselves.  Each is an effort to express myself and my relationship to this vast universe of which we all are an integral part.
